Good agricultiral practices

In order to meet exquisite fruits that we export, there are a series of processes. Depending on how they are developed, will affect both the quality and effectiveness of the fruit, there are much good practices that will improve the attributes of the fruit with the optimal amount of resources, highlighting price and competitiveness.

Producers will be more competitive as they make use of validated technological packages, good agricultural practices, lower production costs through efficiency and thus open up new markets, in addition to reinforcing its reputation in the markets it has already.

On the plantation lands, the distance between plants is very important so that each one has the same amount of space to grow. They should not be planted too close to each other, as this would reduce their growth.

There are planting techniques for flat land and for land on steep slopes through contour lines.

It is important for the planting process:

• Soils studies.
• Water analysis.
• The choice of rootstock.
• The size and depth of the well.
• The way of planting.
• Fertilizer applications.
• Placement of the plant.
• Substrate and organic matter application.
• The installed seedling requires special care to avoid the entry of pathogens through the graft and the graft holder.
• Soil moisture should be maintained at field capacity.
• Herbicides should be applied in the correct way.
• Keep the field clean and make periodic maintenance.
• Fertilizers such as potassium phosphite, fosetyl aluminum phosphate and copper sulfate pentahydrate should be applied at the right time, in the right way and in the right amount.
• It is clear that the nutritional needs in fruit production are variable and will depend on the age of the plant, characteristics and soil analysis to determine the actual dosage of fertilizers to be applied to the plantation.
• Care should be taken in pruning the plant.
• Irrigation must be precise and controlled. For this, and for correct applications in time, quantity and form, an intelligent irrigation system must be implemented.
• Strict phytosanitary control must be carried out in order to avoid pests and diseases through effective application and care techniques.
